We've been on the North Shore since 1981. That's four decades of showing up, doing the work right, and treating people the way we'd want our own family treated. Spencer is family-owned, second-generation, and run by people who got their start in the field — not a corner office.

What We're Looking For
Requirements
We hire for character first, skill second. Bring a willingness to do the work right and we'll fill in the rest with training. Most of our roles need:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (we run vans daily).
- Trade license or active path to one — MA Plumber, HVAC, or Electrician, or apprentice working toward.
- 1+ year in the field for service roles · entry-level OK for helper/install crew positions.
- Strong communication with customers — you'll be in their home, explaining what you found.
- Background check and pre-employment drug screen required prior to start.
- OSHA 10 (or willing to earn) — Spencer covers the cost and time.

HVAC
Heat Pump Installer
Install Mitsubishi and Bosch heat pumps for our Mass Save HEAT Loan customers. Lead-installer track with 2+ years experience; helper track open for apprentices.
Electrical
Licensed Electrician
Panel upgrades, generator hookups, EV chargers, and service repair work. MA Journeyman or Master license required.
HVAC
HVAC Service Tech
Diagnose and repair residential furnaces, boilers, A/C, and heat pumps. Spencer pays for ongoing NATE prep and renewal. Year-round work — we don't slow down in shoulder seasons.
Drains
Drain & Sewer Technician
Operate Spartan jetters, RIDGID camera rigs, and trenchless equipment for sewer service across the North Shore. Training provided for the right person.
HVAC
Install Helper
Apprentice with our lead installers on full-system swap-outs. No license needed to start — Spencer will sponsor your hours toward MA Refrigeration Tech and HVAC license.
Office
Dispatcher / CSR
Field inbound calls from North Shore homeowners, route techs efficiently, and keep the day running on time. Service Titan experience preferred but not required.
Office
Service Manager
Lead our service department day-to-day — dispatch flow, tech coaching, customer escalations, and KPIs. 5+ years in HVAC/plumbing service ops required; Service Titan fluency a plus.
Heating
Boiler Specialist
Service, repair, and replace high-efficiency boilers — Lochinvar, Weil-McLain, Burnham. Mass-Save rebate paperwork handled by our office.
